Airports Authority of India (AAI) was constituted by an Act of Parliament and came into being on 1st April 1995 by merging erstwhile National Airports Authority and International Airports Authority of India. The merger brought into existence a single Organization entrusted with the responsibility of creating, upgrading, maintaining and managing civil aviation infrastructure both on the ground and air space in the country.

AAI manages 125 airports, which include 11 International Airport, 08 Customs Airports, 81 Domestic Aairports and 27 Civil Enclaves at Defence airfields. AAI provides air navigation services over 2.8 million square nautical miles of air space. During the year 2008- 09, AAI handled aircraft movement of 1306532 Nos. [International 270345 & Domestic 1036187], Passengers handled 44262137 Nos. [International 1047614 & Domestic 33785990] and the cargo handled 499418 tonnes [International 318242 & Domestic 181176].

The written test for the post of Senior Assistant (Electronics) is scheduled to be held on 28/11/2010 at 10.00AM to 12.00 noon. Candidates are advised to download their call letter using their login ID (Applicant ID) from www.aai.aero w.e.f 19/11/2010 onwards.
