Integrated Coastal and Marine Area Management Project Directorate (ICMAM PD)
ICMAM Invites Walk-in-Interview for the post of JRF to work in the following projects:
I. Marine Ecotoxicology
1. Junior Research Fellow : 01 Post
Place of posting: Chennai or at any other location in India
Emoluments: 16,000 pm + HRA
Qualifications:
Essential: First Class Master’s Degree in Life Sciences/Marine Biology/Environmental Toxicology or its equivalent from a recognized university. Should be passed in National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted jointly by CSIR-UGC
Desirable: Knowledge/experience in collection and maintenance of marine organisms and conducting Toxicology and environmental monitoring studies.
2. Junior Research Fellow : 01 Post
Place of posting: Chennai or at any other location in India
Emoluments: 16,000 pm + HRA
Qualifications:
Essential: First Class Master’s Degree in Science relating to Inorganic Chemistry/Hydrochemistry/Analytical Chemistry/Marine Chemistry or its equivalent from a recognized university.
Should be passed in National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted jointly by CSIR-UGC
Desirable: Knowledge/experience on sea water quality, trace metal and petroleum hydrocarbon analyses, maintenance and operation of sophisticated equipment like Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer, Gas Chromatograph, UV-Vis Spectrophotometer etc.
II. Training
3. Junior Research Fellow : 01 Post
Place of posting: Chennai or at any other location in India
Emoluments: Rs.16,000/- p.m.+ HRA
Qualifications:
Essential: First class Master’s Degree or equivalent in Remote Sensing/ Geoinformation Technology and NET qualified (or) First Class Graduate degree in Engineering with major subject in Remote Sensing/GIS from a recognized university/institution with GATE or its equivalent (vide Ministry of Science & Technology, New Delhi O.M. No. A.20020/11/97- IFD, dt.31.03.2010).
Desirable: Knowledge of GIS, Image Processing software.
