Pay Scale :PB4: Rs. 37,400-67,000 + Grade Pay of Rs. 8,900/-
How to Apply
Applications in plain paper with CV, a complete list of publications in peer reviewed scientific journals, profile of Ph.D supervision (needed for applicants for the post of Professor), a short statement of research interest and proposed plans (limited to 2 pages) alongwith name and address of at least 6 referees (for Readers/ Associate Professor) or 8 referees (for Professor) should be sent to the Director of the Centre (email: arup@bose.res.in), S. N. Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences, Block JD, Sector III, Salt Lake,Kolkata 700 098, West Bengal, India by 15 November, 2010.
General Instructions:
*The Centre reserves the right to call suitable candidates in their opinion for interview or relax qualifications.
*There shall be no upper age limit in respect of the scientists/ faculties already working in the Centre.
* The upper age limit is relaxable for the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, the Ex-service men, Other Backward Classes, Physically Handicapped and other special categories of persons in accordance with the orders issued by the Central Government from time to time in this regard. The Competent Authority may relax the upper age limit in case of highly experienced candidates in specialized scientific areas that are relevant to the job requirement.
*Candidates should bring their last pay certificates if called for interview.
* The prescribed Essential Qualifications/ Experience indicated are bare minimum and mere possession of the same will not entitle candidates to be called for interview.
* Application incomplete in any respect and not accompanied by relevant certificate/ document/ photograph will be rejected.
* The Selection Committee can recommend upto 3 advance increments in case of candidates with more experience.
