Special Examination for Recruitment of Sub-Inspectors in CPOs, 2010

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will hold on Sunday, the 28/11/2010 an open competitive examination for recruitment to the post of Sub-Inspector in various Central Police Organizations (CPO)

Sub-Inspectors :

Qualification : Bachelor's Degree from a recognised university or equivalent.

Age : 20-25 years as on 02/11/2010

Pay Scale : Rs.9300-34800 in Pay Band 2 with Grade Pay of Rs.4200/.

Application Fee :
RUPEES ONE HUNDRED ONLY(Rs.100/-) payable through CRF Stamp or SBI Challan or on-line payment through account with the State Bank of India. Fee is exempted for all Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation.

Part A- General Intelligence and Reasoning
Part B- General Knowledge and General Awareness
Part C- Numerical Aptitude
Part D- English Comprehension

Paper-II
English language & Comprehension

Selection Procedure :
After the written Examination and the Interview /personality test, the Commission will draw up the All India Merit List and, in that order, as many candidates as are found by the Commission to have qualified in the Examination shall be recommended for appointment upto the number of unreserved vacancies available taking into consideration their options for the posts of SI and ASI and CPOs. The Commission will recommend the candidates in the Merit List on the basis of the aggregate marks obtained by the candidates in the written examination and interview/personality test.

Centre of Examination and Address to which Applications should be sent : The applications should be addressed to the Regional Office of the SSC for a particular test center/state where candidate wants to apply as stated in the detailed advertisement.
