Applications are invited from the citizens of India for the following post(s) of different Departments of H.P. on the prescribed proforma on or before 12/04/2010. Last date for receipt of applications for the candidates residing in far-flung areas is 27/04/2010 :

1. Principal (College cadre Class-I) : 02 posts
2. Lecturers (College Cadre Class-I) : 164 posts
3. Assistant Director Fisheries (Class-II) : 01 post
4. Assistant Director Factories (Chemical) Class-I,Gazetted : 02 posts
5. Lecturer Computer Engineering Class-I, Gazetted : 02 posts
6. Assistant Research Officer, Class-II Non-Gazetted : 01 post
7. Assistant Public Relations Officer, Class-II (Non-Gazetted) : 04 posts on contract basis
8. Assistant Professor (Medical) : 04 posts (Operative Dentistry-1, Medicine and Radiology-1, Community Dentistry-1, Orthopaedics-1)
9. Medical Officer (Dental) Class-I Gazetted : 01 post on contract
10. Drug Inspector Class-II Gazetted : 01 post
11. Secretary Calss-I Gazetted Grade-A : 01 post on contract basis

AGE:
(i) FOR ALL POSTS:- 45 YEARS AND BELOW.
(ii) There is five years relaxation in upper age for SC / ST / OBC/ WFF / Persons with disabilities of Himachal Pradesh. For H.P. Govt. employees and Ex-servicemen of H.P. relaxation is as per Government instructions.
(iii) Age of a candidate shall be reckoned as on 01-01-2010.

Fee : In the shape of Bank draft in favour of Secretary, H.P. Public Service Commission for Rs. 250/- only, (Rs.63/- for SC/ST/OBC of H.P.only), payable at Shimla to the Secretary ,HPPSC, Nigam Vihar , Shimla-171002 (HP). Ex-servicemen unless discharged at their own request before completion of normal tenure, are exempted from payment of application fee. Visually handicapped candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.

HOW TO APPLY:-
(i) Candidates are required to visit http://www.hp.gov.in/hppsc/ and download the Application Format.
(ii) Demand draft for examination fee may be prepared in favour of Secretary, H.P. Public Service Commission, Nigam Vihar, Shimla-2, payable at Shimla.
(iii) Paste your one recent photograph, sign in the specified box and send the Application Form duly signed by you (along with Demand Draft) by Registered / Speed Post on or before 12-04-2010 to “ The Secretary, H.P. Public Service Commission, Nigam Vihar,
Shimla-171002” The application, complete in all respect can also be deposited in the office of the Commission in person. The benefit of additional time prescribed to candidates of remote / Tribal areas will be given only when the applications are sent through post offices from such areas. No such benefit will be given if applications are received through courier or by hand.
(iv) In service candidates may apply to the Commission with advance copy alongwith requisite fee with information to their Head of Departments/Employer for issuing NOC. No in service candidate will be interviewed unless he/she brings NOC from the concerned employer.
(v) Copies of following documents may be attached with the applications:-
(a) matriculation certificate or its equivalent, showing the date of birth.
(b) degree / detailed marks certificates of essential educational qualifications and
experience, if any.
(c ) S.C./S.T./ OPRC certificates. The S.C./S.T./OBC certificates must be on paternal lineage on the proforma prescribed by the Govt. and issued by competent authority of the concerned area in Himachal Pradesh.
