Job Description

Understand Business and Functional Requirement Documents generated by Business Team and/ or Business Analysts

1. Participate in project planning sessions with project manager and technical team members to provide feed back on the timescales involved

2. Help Technical Analyst in the preparation of Technical Design document using Business Requirement, Functional Requirement documents

3. Develop the code that must be of very high quality, feeding back progress information to the assigned Project manager.

4. Undertake a structured walk-through of the code with Senior Developers and Technical Analysts and get their approval that your code and design will meet the specifications.

5. Test Data generation and Unit testing, system testing of the developed code. Finally, provide documentary evidence of successful Unit Testing and System Testing.

6. Participate in design reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to predefined architectural specifications; help to identify/troubleshoot application code-related issues; and review and provide feedback to the final user documentation.

7. Ensure compliance of corporate policy and standards or appropriate adaptation of standards.

8. Assist in business operations support; troubleshoot defects and operational issues on an escalation basis from production support team.

9. Provide status reports on a weekly basis and highlight any variances to the AD manager and assigned project manager.

10. You may be asked to do line management duties, but this position does not have direct reports – you are primarily a sole contributor.

PG – Any PG Course – Any Specialization,Post Graduation Not Required

Desired Candidate Profile

A very strong knowledge and solid experience (minimum of 5 years) of Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, UNIX and a good understanding of the basic principle of relational database design.

1. Experience of Clearcase, Oracle Reports 9i; Unix Scripting, TOAD, SQL tuning, Autosys, Websphere, Java.

2. Candidate should have experience working within a variety of data environments utilizing various tools including: Sun Solaris, Oracle and ERwin.

3. Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.

4. 4+ years experience in technology and good experience of project work in an Application Development environment.

5. Qualified candidate should have successfully participated in the design, development, testing and support of a large, complex database application.

6. Experience with the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process, focusing on Development, Testing, Training phases and documentation.
