JOB DESCRIPTION:

An opportunity exists for a financial technology expert to join a fast growing international company in financial pricing. The company has a diverse and rapidly growing suite of products and services.

As part of the development team you will be responsible for the following areas:

• Build historic database and develop tools to populate from existing Excel / Access files.

• Audit historic data and provide detailed report of any gaps or format changes that require special attention.

• Fix any data gaps highlighted by the audit.

• Optimise database for use with time series queries, ensuring indexes are suitable for all applications.

• Contribute to development of API to query historic data.

• Provide regular updates to London team.

You will also have the following Experience:

• Degree in Computer Science or related field.

• Minimum 3 years of database development experience, preferably in a financial environment.

• Excellent knowledge of Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL.

• Excellent understanding of query optimisation, indexing and table maintenance.

• Good knowledge of VBA (including MS Excel and Access).

• Understanding of basic derivatives terminology is desirable, but not essential.
