JOB DESCRIPTION:

Experience & Skill:

- Should posses strong theoretical as well as practical design

skills. Should have expertise in design patterns.

- 10+ years of experience in software development using object oriented design.

- Expertise in Java Programming, Web based development , JSP and J2EE related technologies , Java Multithreaded programming, Java Beans, JMX, Spring/Struts Framework, Apache Tomcat Web Server, Unit Testing Frameworks, OR Mapping Tool, Security Framewor/Concepts, Web Services and SOAP.

- Should have expertise in designing, developing and deploying software’s using the Service Oriented Architecture, Enterprise Service Bus and JMS, preferably ActiveMQ.

- Experience interfacing with large databases such as MySql & Oracle.

- Should have extensive exposure to detailed architecture, detailed designs, UML diagrams, database schemas and OOAD.

- Must be highly skilled with 8+ years of experience on both Linux and Windows environment. Must have working knowledge of commercially available Linux and Windows distributions.

- Good Knowledge of XML and related technologies (like DOM, SAX, XPATH, JAXB, XML Beans and XSLT etc.)

- Knowledge of Scripting languages (like Java Script, Perl Script and shell script) for web based client/server application development.

- Expertise in build automation tools (e.g. Maven, Ant)

- Exposure to RDBMS concepts and hands on experience to one or more RDBSs

- Working Knowledge of Specific Tools: IDE’s such as Eclipse or NetBeans, Source controls such as CVS, SVN.

- Exposure to Web/Application Servers e.g. Apache, Tomcat, Weblogic, WAS

- Be able to resolve interoperability, integration, performance and stability issues based on his or her past work experience.

- Exposure to Agile Software Development methods will be plus

Responsibilities:

- Act as a key relationship owner with a major client and help the company to procure significant new business.

- When not active on project delivery, he will help to improve the company’s software development competence by initiating and managing programs of change.

- Advise technical teams on the means and methods to deliver world class software applications.

- Recommend effective solutions to highly complicated business requirements and technical issues.

- Creating the architecture and design of the systems and justification of the solution to clients and/or 3rd parties.

- Communication of architecture and design to the teams by means of technical specification and support them in implementation.

- Participating and supporting software research and development for systems and services for use in enterprise.

- Integrating the solution into an applicable business platform and working closely with business teams to refine the specifications for potential product.

- Finding existing gaps in the technology / processes / applications and develop solutions to plug these gaps.

- Take part in developing spike/ prototype/ the product: Will ensure that the actual performance levels and functionalities of the components or equipment match the original specifications; Will manage software upgrades, keeping a database or technical facts (flaws and upgrade requests), all the while ensuring traceability between the versions.

- He/She will draw up intended technical documentation in order to facilitate and support the software(architect or technical architect or Java architect or System analyst or project lead)
