PRIMARY TEACHRS' TRAINING INSTITUTES (PTTls)
It is quite encouraging to note that the Department of School Education has entrusted the W.B.Board of Primary Education with the power to supervise, control, extend affiliation to the PTTls and finally to administer and conduct their final one-year certificate examination. Necessary amendments have been made in the W.B.Primary Education Act, 1973 for this purpose. As the WBBPE is to look after the entire Primary Education in West Bengal, vesting the aforesaid power to the PTTls has been long overdue. The Board is thus empowered not only to supervise, control and conduct teacher training but also to prepare teacher-educators. The curriculum of the one-year course is expected to be revised and renewed soon.

I, Santigopal Guha ESM retired from Indain Navy; resident of VPO. Shyamsundar, Block Raina-I, Dist Burdwan, pin – 713424. I had been selected for Primary School Teacher Exam 2009, which was held on 02May 2010 and qualified, and Interviewed on 23Jun 2010. Now the empanelled list had been declared but I am very surprised that my name is not there. Hence it is my request that who all are listed, are all they above me and what is the cut off marks in the list. In written Exam the least percent was 32percent for Gen ESM and I was 68.4percent; so in my view it is not correctly done and also there is no ESM marked in the list, if the total seat about 3500 and for ESM reserver for 5 -7 percent that means it should be 175+ at least. So, how it has been done please inform so that I can be satisfied that all qualified ESM people are above me. My rolll no. is 1637783
