TNPSC Departmental Examination December 2010
TNPSC conducts 215 different tests for State Government staff of various departments for IAS, IPS, IFS, SCS, TNPS & TNFS Officers.
Applications are invited from candidates for admission to the Departmental Examinations to be held in December 2010 THROUGH “ONLINE” ONLY (Application Forms will not be supplied by the Commission).
Qualification : The Departmental Examinations (except General Educational Test of the S.S.L.C. Standard) are open to all persons whether in Government Service or not on payment of the prescribed fees.
Age : Departmental Examinations should have completed the age of 16 years on the date of this Notification viz. 1.9.2010.
Examination Fee : Candidates should make use of the facility of applying ‘Online’ through the Commissions ‘Website www.tnpsc.gov.in’ with cost of Registration Rs.30/- and Examination Fee Rs.50/- for each test.
(i)(a) The examination fee should be paid by Postal Receipt only.
(b) Postal Receipt :- The Fee should be paid only through any one of the Post Offices listed in the Annexure-II to the notification and the Postal Receipt obtained for the payment of fee shoud be pasted in the space provided in the application.(Not applicable to New Delhi candidates). The Candidates should check up the correctness of the particulars in the postal receipts enclosed with their applications. If they fail to send the Postal Receipts towards Fees or if the Postal Receipts sent by them are found defective or invalid, their applications will be rejected. b) Candidates applying Offline (through Common Application Form) are required to pay a fee of Rs 100/- (Rupees One Hundred Only) through a Single Central Recruitment Fee Stamp of the requisite denomination. It is expected that the new department will foster collaboration between clinicians and basic scientists in areas relevant to the practice of oncology.

2. Professor & Head, Haemato-Oncology Research Laboratory
Qualification & Experience : D.M./M.D./Ph.D. in the relevant field. The incumbent would be required to evolve and lead a group of investigators that will address questions in all areas of Heamato-Oncology and foster collaboration between clinicians and basic scientists. In addition, the incumbent will head the expanded laboratory and will be expected to undertake basic and translational research and provide support services for Haemato-Oncology patients.

Minimum one year experience in Gynaec Oncology. Candidates with 10 years post M.D. experience in Gynaec Oncology in an established set up will be considered Professor grade.

Adequate experience in Brachytherapy techniques, advanced 3D conformal treatment planning techniques and IMRT are desirable for this position.
