Applications on prescribed proforma (mentioned below) are invited by
19.08.2010 upto 5:00 pm from eligible candidates for filling up the posts mentioned below, on temporary basis in the Police Department for deployment in India Reserve Battalion as per details given below :-

Water Carrier : 11 posts, Pay Scale : Rs.4900-10680 grade pay Rs.1300

Sweeper : 15 posts, Pay Scale : Rs. 4900-10680 grade pay Rs.1300

Cook : 24 posts, Pay Scale : Rs. 4900-10680 grade pay Rs.1300

Dhobi : 08 posts, Pay Scale : Rs.4900-10680 grade pay Rs. 1300

Barber : 07 posts, Pay Scale : Rs.4900-10680 grade pay Rs.1300

Educational Qualifications and Age

Minimum Education Middle Standard from a recognized Board/Institution.
Age 18 to 25 years (as on 01.01.2010)

Note :- The candidates of Scheduled Castes and Other Backward Classes category will be given age relaxation of 5 years and 3 years respectively. The benefits of age relaxation to
the Ex-Servicemen shall be given after deducting the period of service rendered in the Armed Forces from their actual age and adding three years thereto. The benefits of reservation to OBC would be given only when the concerned caste is included both in the Central Government list and Union Territory, Chandigarh list.

How to Apply :
Applications in the below mentioned proforma (also available for the
demonstration on the Chandigarh Police website www.chandigarhpolice.nic.in) along with self attested copies of educational certificates, proof of date of birth and caste testimonials and latest passport size self attested photograph duly pasted on the application form, should reach the Senior Superintendent of Police, Headquarters, Addl. Deluxe Building, Police Headquarters (UT), Sector-9, Chandigarh by 19.08.2010 upto 5:00 PM. A candidate can
apply for more than one category. Applications received after the due date/time, by whatever mode will not be entertained. Application not received in prescribed proforma or not accompanied by the requisite self attested copies of certificates/proof of date of birth/caste certificate/self attested photograph duly pasted or incomplete or unsigned etc. will be rejected straightway.

Eligible candidates will be required to appear for interview and test, if any on dates to be conveyed later on, before the Selection Board.

The Department reserves the right to reject/cancel any application without assigning any reason. The department also reserves the right to decrease or increase the number of vacancies.
